Quick answer
The A6 Simple Grid Companion Notebook is a pocket-friendly Tomoe River paper notebook for small planner setups, quick notes, journaling, and pen testing. It has 190 perforated grid pages, 52gsm white paper, and a compact A6 size that slips easily into everyday carry.
Paper, pen, and ink notes
52gsm Tomoe River paper is a favorite among many planner, fountain pen, and gel pen users because it feels smooth and handles many inks with low feathering. The paper is very thin, so ghosting is normal; dry time and bleed-through depend on your nib, ink, pressure, and writing speed.
Size and layout

Great little notebook for the price!
I'm so glad I ordered this notebook. It's the perfect companion in my standard Traveler's cover. The perforated pages are fantastic for notes that need to be removed and of course, it helps that it's my absolute favorite shade of pink. Thank you!
My notebook just arrived, I love the pink color with the exception of having the style name of notebook
In gold big letter middle of notebook saying
SIMPLE GRID
STANDARD in a gold block
Sorry but it makes it look cheap!
This was my first time ordering an Aura Estelle product and so far I am extremely satisfied with the shipping times and the quality of the product.
I needed a perforated notebook for a Zibaldone. The cover was prettier than expected, but stickers don't stick to it very well. I appreciate that it's Canadian; just disappointed that it took a while for them to process my order which delayed the shipping.
Excellent paper quality. I love the size. It fits perfectly in my traveler's notebook setup. Will definitely buy again.
The size it's great, they have a specific pocket sized but I find this slips into my pocket easily enough and provides a greater width. I can take it out and not feel like I need a lot of room to sit and write. Very convenient. Loves that it opens flat and has perforated pages to tear out easily if I just needed a piece of scrap paper.
These are awesome! They are the perfect companion notebook for my A6 planner, and I'm really enjoying using them. I purchased two so I would have a backup on hand. When I need more, I'll definitely be purchasing again. Hopefully they'll continue to be available in stock!
Beautiful products
Love these, I want more!
Love the paper
Amazing color
Love it!
I love the paper in this notebook. The size is perfect for my pocket plus journal. I love the softness of the paper.
Nice notebook with good paper, came bent out of shape; later, the clear cover I purchased for it from here also arrived bent up, so together they look beat up as if I’ve been using it for years…I do intend to use it because it’s a nice notebook, and will make a nice little journal.
The paper is honestly really bad. I’ve used this type of paper in multiple other notebooks and planners but this one feels significantly thin & the perforated pages are extremely annoying, they’re too perforated and if you pull on the paper even a tiny bit harder than normal the perforation tears. Definitely wouldnt buy again even at the discounted price
Pretty unhappy with the paper. Seems to smudge any type of pen I use. The grid is a bit too small too. The outside of the journal is very cute and looks great, it’s the perfect size, but the paper is a complete turn off. Also don’t love the perforation but it’s not a dealbreaker.
Love it
Such a great notebook! At this price, I want to get more.
Some of the pages were already releasing themselves from the seam but love the concept of the perforated pages
Final sale items. Just 5.95 each for TR 52gsm paper. 1 bought 15. wonderful!
Purchased this so I could add pages to the weekly planner…!
Love everything about the notebooks that will be wonderful companions to my Hobonichi Weeks!
perfect notebook size and paper is amazing. the pink cover is the cutest subtle shade!
A perfect companion with absolutely dreamy paper!
Wonderful product, high quality paper with nice perforations.
Love it!
i got the pink b6 size companion notebook free with my purchase of my cover and im SO happy this was an available deal. i have many ideas on how i will use it with my new magnet planner. perforated edges make it easier to rip out mistakes, add pages to my planner, and much more. the color is the perfect shade of pink
Love the paper.
Did the paper change recently? I purchased a “complete weekly vertical” B6 a couple of years ago, and its paper is thicker than the “Simple Grid Companion” pocket notebook that I just received.
I compared the current listings of the two online, and they show the same gsm.
What I am experiencing in this pocket companion is significant bleeding compared to my B6, and the paper does not feel as nice.
Lastly, I don’t think I purchased an “oops” listing, however, the foil stamp on the cover is crooked which kind off bothers me.
Beautiful but I don't like the perforated pages.
